Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BACHO Bridge Academy collects, uses, and protects personal data across our chapters, cells, the PALIVI App, and this website. It applies to learners, parents and guardians, facilitators, institutions, sponsors, and anyone who contacts us.
1. Who We Are
BACHO Bridge Academy is operated jointly by PALIVI Investment Club Limited (Client and Program Owner) and Magezi Harvest Limited (Implementation Partner). Together, they act as data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
You can reach either party through our Contact page - see Section 12 below.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to run a supervised chapter and cell network:
- Identity and demographic details submitted at registration (name, age category, school or institution, contact details).
- Parent or guardian consent records for learners under 18.
- Chapter, cell, and role assignments (e.g. Cell Leader, Reading Lead) used to generate your Unique Membership Number.
- Payment references used to verify registration and learning fees against the PALIVI Bank Account, never raw card or account numbers.
- Written business-solution submissions and related evaluation records.
- Messages you send us through the Register or Contact forms on this website.
3. How We Use Your Information
Personal data is used strictly to operate the Academy, specifically to:
- Confirm chapters and cells, and issue Chapter Codes and Unique Membership Numbers.
- Verify parental consent and payment status before granting learning access.
- Deliver learning content, track progression, and administer the written business-solution and recognition pathway.
- Produce the weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and 90-day compliance reports described in our governance framework.
- Respond to registration enquiries, sponsorship interest, media requests, and support messages.
We do not use personal data for investment marketing, credit scoring, or any purpose unrelated to programme delivery.
4. Children's Data & Parental Consent
Learner Members under 18 participate strictly within supervised school groups. The following safeguards apply without exception:
- Parent or guardian consent is required before any data is collected on a minor.
- No one-on-one, unsupervised communication is permitted between adult volunteers or staff and minors outside supervised group settings.
- A learner's name, photo, or video is never published without separate, specific written consent.
- We apply data minimisation: only attendance, progress, and contact information necessary for programme administration is collected.
- AI-assisted agents (Cell Mentor Agent, Learning Guide Agent) only ever interact with learners inside supervised, logged, group-visible channels, never one-on-one.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
Depending on the activity, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent, for parental consent to a minor's participation and for optional analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Performance of a contract, to deliver the programme once a chapter is confirmed and a learner is enrolled.
- Legal obligation, for safeguarding, financial record-keeping, and compliance reporting.
- Legitimate interest, for basic website security and preventing fraudulent registrations, balanced against your rights.
6. How We Share Information
Magezi Harvest Limited processes data on behalf of PALIVI Investment Club Limited as the operating and mobilisation partner. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
AI-assisted agents used inside the PALIVI App operate strictly as assistive tools under continuous human oversight. No agent may confirm Paid-Up status, issue a Chapter Code, activate a chapter, or release payment on its own authority, and every output touching enrolment, payment, safeguarding, or public communication is reviewed by a named human role before it takes effect.
7. Data Retention
We keep enrolment, consent, payment-verification, and signature-certificate records for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance with our governance framework and applicable law, and delete or anonymise them once that need has passed.
8. Data Security
Access to member data is controlled through role-based access control and encrypted backend logs. Rosters and identifiable minor data are never shared through open channels such as public social media groups; public documentation is limited to group-level event photography where a parental media release has been verified.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure of your data, subject to our record-keeping obligations.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive a portable copy of data you provided to us.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.
10. Cookies
This website uses strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to function, and only loads optional analytics cookies with your consent. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to change your preference at any time.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our programme, platform, or applicable law changes. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
12. Contact Us
Questions about this policy, or requests to exercise your data rights, can be sent through our Contact page. Safeguarding concerns are escalated immediately to the Compliance Officer and Program Director, ahead of the normal response queue.
